The story began in 1949, when 13 skilled eyewear artisans from the jura region founded the « Société des Lunetiers » (SL), renowned for it’s expertise and quality. In the 1950s, the company revolutionized eyewear design by creating and invisible nylon thread system to attach lenses to frames.

Patented in 1955, this innovation marked the birth of Nylor, introducing half-rimmed glasses that were lighter, more refined, and perfectly in tune with the world of fashion.
